Pierce beats school record at Wendy's Pittsburg State Invitational Feb. 1
The streak continues. University of Arkansas at Little Rock student-athletes have broken a school record in every indoor meet the Trojans have competed this season and the team's Feb. 1 trip to the Wendy's Pittsburg State Invitational was no exception. This time the records came in the men's high jump, women's pole vault, and women's 600m. Tricia Pierce's pole vault height of 12-2.75 (3.73m) broke her own school record by over seven inches.

Matamoros beats school record at Wendy's Pittsburg State Invitational Feb. 1
The streak continues. University of Arkansas at Little Rock student-athletes have broken a school record in every indoor meet the Trojans have competed this season and the team's Feb. 1 trip to the Wendy's Pittsburg State Invitational was no exception. This time the records came in the men's high jump, women's pole vault, and women's 600m. Christian Matamoros topped a high jump record set 22 years ago. The freshman cleared a height of 6-9.5 (2.07m) on Feb. 1 to best a long-standing record originally set by James Lundberg in 1998 as he finished fourth in the event.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock's commitment to Graduating Champions continued in the fall 2019 semester as Trojan student-athletes boasted a department grade point average of 3.281. It marks the 15th-straight semester Little Rock student-athletes have notched a GPA of 3.0 or better as eight programs accomplished the feat during their competition seasons.

Kamani Johnson tabbed Sun Belt Co-Player of the Week
University of Arkansas at Little Rock sophomore forward Kamani Johnson has been tabbed the Sun Belt Conference Co-Player of the Week on Jan. 6. Johnson becomes the second Trojan to earn the conference's weekly accolade, joining teammate Markquis Nowell, who has earned the honor twice in 2019-20.

UA Little Rock alum creates dance troupe to inspire deaf, hard of hearing dancers
While growing up as a deaf child in an adopted family with hearing parents, Brandy Mimms felt conflicted about whether she belonged in the hearing world or the deaf world. Now a graduate of UA Little Rock's dance performance program, Mimms has opened a nonprofit modern dance troupe to bridge her two worlds. Mimms created the Listen With Your Eyes Dance Troupe to provide more opportunities for dance performers in Arkansas and to raise awareness about deaf and hard of hearing performers.

UA Little Rock grad Tichina Taylor overcomes stroke to earn college degree
After her freshman year of college at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Tichina Taylor experienced a debilitating stroke. Thanks to her strong will to continue pursuing her degree, with lots of support from the UA Little Rock Disability Resource Center and Student Support Services, Taylor will graduate Dec. 14 with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a certificate in nonprofit management.
