University of Arkansas at Little Rock junior Aaron Funk of Lawrence, Kansas, set a new Little Rock Trojans baseball program record and tied a Sun Belt record with 17 strikeouts March 1 at Gary Hogan Field.

Sixteen local game enthusiasts took part in Global Game Jam 2020 from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In just 48 hours, they created seven new games for the world to enjoy.

UA Little Rock announces its fall 2019 Chancellor's List, recognizing more than 700 students with superior academic performance in the fall 2019 semester. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Campus Bookstore has awarded $10,000 in student scholarships for the spring 2020 semester. A total of 20 students representing law, graduate, and undergraduate students from across UA Little Rock's colleges have been awarded $500 each as part of the bookstore's 2020 Book Grant Awards.

The freshman cleared a height of 6-9.5 (2.07m) on Feb. 1 to best a long-standing record originally set by James Lundberg in 1998 as he finished fourth in the event.

While growing up as a deaf child in an adopted family with hearing parents, Brandy Mimms felt conflicted about whether she belonged in the hearing world or the deaf world. Now a graduate of UA Little Rock's dance performance program, Mimms has opened a nonprofit modern dance troupe to bridge her two worlds. Mimms created the Listen With Your Eyes Dance Troupe to provide more opportunities for dance performers in Arkansas and to raise awareness about deaf and hard of hearing performers.
