In celebration of Internet Safety Month, UA Little Rock is profiling students researchers working in this area. Tell us about yourself? My name is Ethan O'Leske. I was born and raised in Little Rock, AR, and am currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science at UA Little Rock. From my early adolescence, I was drawn to technical skills like software development and programming, because it helped me understand the technology I interacted with everyday. As I reflect on my three years spent at UA Little Rock, I find that these skills have drawn me towards cybersecurity, in large part due to work at a research center on campus, the Emerging Analytics Center.

Little Rock student-athletes once again posted another stellar performance in the classroom during the fall 2020 semester, finishing the fall term with a department GPA of 3.30. It extends the Trojans impressive streak of semesters above a 3.00 to 17-straight as the department boasts an overall cumulative GPA of 3.34.

A University of Arkansas at Little Rock graduate has achieved her dream of becoming a homeowner with the help of the University District's First Time Homebuyer Program. Cadie Foscue, a May graduate of UA Little Rock's Master of Social Work program who now works as a social impact analyst at the Good Grid in Little Rock, had dreamt of the stability of a permanent home ever since she was a child.

Grad Overcomes Injury to Complete College Education
In 2016, Kaiden O'Suilleabhain's life was on track. He had just graduated from the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College and was about to start school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as an engineering major. His life soon took an unexpected turn he wasn't sure he would ever overcome. "I had sudden cardiac arrest and suffered a brain injury. I was actually in a coma the first day that classes started," O'Suilleabhain said. The year and a half that followed his injury would prove to be an intense journey through an extended hospitalization, rehabilitation, recovery, and setbacks, but O'Suilleabhain fought hard to get his life back and started at UA Little Rock in fall 2017. All his hard work paid off, and he recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional and technical writing at the Jack Stephens Center

UA Little Rock Grad ready to take next step in research, community, and medical school
With a father as a doctor and an older sister in medical school, being a doctor would seem the obvious choice for Arooba Ilyas, a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in biology. "Ever since I was little, just seeing how happy my dad, a pediatric nephrologist (kidney doctor for kids), is and how many people he gets to help is inspiring," she said. "Ever since I was little, I thought I would be a doctor. When I get into high school, something about marine biology piqued my interest."
