Monyyong earns Sun Belt Player of the Week Honor
University of Arkansas at Little Rock senior forward Ruot Monyyong has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week, announced Jan. 11 by the league office. He becomes the third different Trojan to earn conference weekly honors this season.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock students study island biogeography in the Bahamas
UA Little Rock students participated in a study of island biogeography in the Bahamas during the summer of 2019. The students observed the island's many ecosystems and witnessed wildlife including sharks, sea turtles, and the critically endangered San Salvador rock iguana. The students kept field research journals and completed a research project on a topic of interest, which ranged from exploring the abundant life in the Bahamas' coral reef to biodiversity in the forests to the snails that lived in the island's tidepools.

UA Little Rock Bowen law students selected as clerks for Attorney General's office
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge has selected nine second-year students from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law to serve as law clerks in the Attorney General's office for the fall session. The new law clerks include Michael Berry, Jonathan Hutto, Austin Kempker, Trent Minner, Rachel Moore, Alexis Pinkston, Allison Tschiemer, Chris Turansky, and Jacob Wickliffe. The law students will work in various departments to assist with legal research, draft memos and legal documents, and accompany lawyers at trials, client meetings, and hearings. "The law clerk program provides students an opportunity to experience a great service-learning environment," said Attorney General Rutledge. "Law clerks are exposed to the fulfilling experience of public service as they play a valuable role for the State, while also building relationships with some of Arkansas's top attorneys."
