Malik Williams, a native of Waldo, Arkansas (pop. 1,283), graduated this December with a bachelor's degree in business information systems. Tell-Hall Receives Little Rock Nine Endowed Scholarship
A University of Arkansas at Little Rock student with a passion for history has received a $5,000 scholarship from the Department of History for her inspirational civil rights research. Nancy Tell-Hall, a graduate student in public history, received the department's Little Rock Nine Endowed Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduate student focused on race relations and community development.

DeGray named Division I-AAA ADA Scholar-Athlete
Little Rock senior Ronjanae DeGray has been named one of 10 selections to the Division I-AAA Athletic Director's Association (ADA) 17th annual Scholar-Athlete team. DeGray, the 2018-19 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, played a pivotal role in helping Little Rock to a share of the conference regular season title with a 15-3 mark in Sun Belt play as well as leading the Trojans to the Sun Belt tournament title and the program's sixth NCAA tournament appearance.

UA Little Rock students participate in Bilateral Model Arab League
More than 20 University of Arkansas at Little Rock students participated in the Bilateral Model Arab League Conference Feb. 15-17 in Houston. The Model Arab League is a student leadership development program created by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations. It is a simulation of an international organization, the League of Arab States, which has 22 member countries. Students met with the Egyptian Consulate to help them prepare to represent Egypt during the conference. UA Little Rock students also represented Kuwait and Morocco.

Bowen student finds passion for law that is out of this world
When Austin Waters began law school at UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, she joked she would be a space lawyer. She soon found, to her surprise, that space attorneys are a real thing. "That's just everything I wanted in life," she said. "I had a telescope when I was little, and I'd stare at the sky. I wanted to be an astronomer or astrophysicist, but I'm very bad at math, so that didn't work out so well."
