UA Little Rock Students Study Abroad in Spain
The students who attended the trip, all part of the Islam and Migration in Contemporary and Historical Spain course, will also be in attendance to talk about their experiences abroad and share photos and souvenirs with the audience. Students who went on the trip include Steve Abouem, Armando Arellano, Madison Ellis, Scott Filek, Owen Hayes, Nicholas Junker, Kenedy Kuchinski, Torri Richardson, Misty Roberts, Alexander Shahegh, and Isaac Thomas.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock students study island biogeography in the Bahamas
UA Little Rock students participated in a study of island biogeography in the Bahamas during the summer of 2019. The students observed the island's many ecosystems and witnessed wildlife including sharks, sea turtles, and the critically endangered San Salvador rock iguana. The students kept field research journals and completed a research project on a topic of interest, which ranged from exploring the abundant life in the Bahamas' coral reef to biodiversity in the forests to the snails that lived in the island's tidepools.

UA Little Rock students study art and architecture in Germany
Seven University of Arkansas at Little Rock students traveled to Germany this summer for a unique opportunity to experience the art and architecture of Germany. Dr. Lynne Larsen, assistant professor of art history, led the July 2-17 trip, where students studied Rococo, Neoclassical, modern, and contemporary styles of art and architecture.

UA Little Rock students investigate migrant crisis in Europe
A group of University of Arkansas at Little Rock students saw firsthand how the growing migrant crisis has changed Europe in recent years. Dr. Rebecca Glazier and Dr. Christopher Williams, professors in the UA Little Rock School of Public Affairs, led 10 students to Europe June 4-20, where they visited London, Paris, and Berlin to learn more about the challenges Europe faces in light of the migrant crisis.

Gilman Scholar Studies Latin American Politics During Trip to Cuba
Ryan Bourgoin, one of three UA Little Rock recipients of the U.S. Department of State's Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, spent seven weeks this summer living with a host family in Vedado, a neighborhood in Havana's business district, through USAC's La Habana (Havana) study abroad program. He took courses at The Instituto de Filosofia and studied government and politics in Latin American and Latin American social revolutions.
