University of Arkansas at Little Rock sophomore Anton Albers put together an impressive showing at the 2019 British Amateur, held in Dublin, Ireland, in June. Albers tied for sixth among 288 competitors in the two round stroke play, advancing to the match play championship where he fell in the round of 32.

Albers started out strong in the opening round of stroke play, firing a 4-under 68 over the par-72 course at Portmarnock. Albers notched a 2-under 34 over both the front and back nine, including birdies on holes three, seven, 10 and 11, and was tied for third after round one just one shot off the pace of the tournament leader.
