Six University of Arkansas at Little Rock students presented research at the Emerging Researchers National Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Feb. 25-28 in Washington, D.C.

At the end of each semester, the UALR Chancellor's List recognizes students whose academic performance has been superior and has met the following qualifications: At least nine hours for credit with a grade of A, B, C, or CR, at least a 3.9 grade point average, and no D, F, I, or NC grades on the semester grade report.

The Academic Achievement scholarship from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a competitive scholarship that awards a total of $16,000 for four years if renewal requirements are met. It is given to entering freshmen who earned a score of 24 or above on the ACT and at least a 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average.

The Dean's Academic Merit Scholarship at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a competitive scholarship for entering freshmen and requires a 26 or above on the ACT. It awards a total of $24,000 for four years if renewal requirements are met.

This competitive scholarship awards a total of $40,000 for four years if renewal requirements are met. It is given to entering freshmen who earned a score of 30 or above on the ACT and at least a 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average.

The UALR Freshman Award from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock requires the recipient to have successfully obtained a 22 or above on the ACT and a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.00.

America's Promise Alliance, the nation's largest partnership organization dedicated to improving the lives of youth, recently announced the election of Zartashia Javid, 20, to its Alliance Trustees for a two-year term.

The Provost's Academic Excellence Scholarship at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock awards a total of $32,000 over four years if renewal requirements are met each year. This competitive scholarship is for entering freshman and requires the recipient to have a 28 or above on the ACT and at least a 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average.

Created in 2007, the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship Program identifies up to 20 college sophomores who demonstrate the necessary commitment and academic achievement to become competent, well-trained rural primary care physicians.
