Triston Wills Concludes Breakout Season Ranked in NCAA Wrestling Coaches Poll
Five ranked wins. 16 ranked opponents. Only two losses to non-ranked foes on his challenging resume. Triston Wills spent the entire season matching up against the some best of the best. His efforts led to two appearances in the esteemed NCAA Coaches Poll: #30 in the second rankings on February 11 and #32 in the final rankings on March 9.

Albers Picks Up Second Sun Belt Golfer of the Week Honor
Senior Anton Albers has been named the Sun Belt Men's Golfer of the Week on March 4 following his impressive performance at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. It is the second Golfer of the Week honor of the season for Albers and the fourth for a Trojan this season.

Anton Albers registered a runner-up finish at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate, shooting a 13-under 203 to guide Little Rock to a team runner-up finish. The Trojans closed out the event with a 12-under 276 over the final 18 holes, closing out the event at 17-under 847.

UA Little ROck Geology Student Selected for U.S.-Mexican Research Program
A University of Arkansas at Little Rock student is participating in a unique U.S.-Mexican collaborative research opportunity that combines digital field mapping techniques with state-of-the-art laboratory analytical work on the tectonic evolution of the Santa Rosalia basin area in the Gulf of California rift. Mariela Saavedra Duran, a double major in geology and Spanish from Alexander, Arkansas, was chosen for the Baja Basin program, which is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation as an International Research Experiences for Students program.

Joseph Bianchi has been selected as the Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week, the first-ever weekly conference honor for the Little Rock wrestling program in just its third year competing. The Two Rivers, Wisconsin native earned a 5-0 decision as the Trojans battled #4 Oklahoma State at home this past weekend, bringing his record to 10-4 on the season.

Single Mother Who Left College to Care for Autistic Son Earns Bachelor's Degree 15 Years Later
In 2006, Veronica Tess Myers, of Little Rock, made the difficult decision to leave college to ensure her son, Alexander, got the education he deserved. Myers promised herself that she would one day return to complete her college education. "I started my college journey at UA Little Rock in 2000, and then stopped out in 2006 due to the dynamics of being a single mother and to take care of my profoundly autistic son, Alexander," Myers said. Fifteen years later, Myers fulfilled her lifelong goal of completing college and graduated from UA Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in applied communication at the end of the fall 2021 semester.
