Brendon Abdon Claims Gold Medal in Greco-Roman at U23 Pan American Championships

Brendon Abdon represented the US and Little Rock Wrestling in the U23 Pan American Championships in Rionegro, Colombia in Greco-Roman. After a successful trip, Abdon defeated Ryan Cubas Castillo of Peru to claim the gold medal in the 77kg weight class. Despite finding himself down 0-1, Abdon secured a 10-1 tech fall after seizing the momentum with a four-point move to take the lead.

Macey McLaughlin, a freshman studio art major from Paragould, has a goal to make art more accessible for everyone. "There are individuals who wish to explore their artistic abilities but often feel discouraged, thinking they can't draw even the simplest figures," McLaughlin said. "This lack of self-belief hinders their creative potential. Not everyone has access to the resources or teachers that can nurture their artistic growth. My project addresses both issues by providing an inclusive, accessible, and confidence-building artistic experience that can be cherished by all."
