Senior defender Liesa Seifert has received Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for her dominant presence on a strong defensive back line.

Senior midfielder Jaclyn Purvine has received Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for her impeccable goal-scoring form and attacking presence against Austin Peay. Purvine was dominant in the attacking third of the pitch for the Trojans, racking up a total of seven points for the weekend. She scored one goal and tallied an assist in the first match of the weekend against Austin Peay, a team that had not conceded a goal prior to that game.

The UA Little Rock Reach 13,000 Campaign kicked off with a dodgeball tournament that ended in an all-out battle between a campus ministry.The tournament finale came down to a showdown between Metro BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) Team #1 and Metro BCM Team #2. Metro BCM Team#1 came out on top as the winner. Amber Wolf, coordinator of the Chancellor's Leadership Corps, which runs the Reach 13,000 Campaign, would argue that everyone came out a winner in the end. The winning team members include Chyna Dial, Anthony Freeman, Hunter Hobby, Sam Jordan, Lucee Lugo, Logan Snapp, Nia Washington, Mat Wheeler, and Taemora Williams.

Little Rock senior Justin Warren had quite the impressive week in Western Canada, finishing fourth among a field of 246 golfers at the 2018 Canadian Men's Amateur Championship. Warren posted a 72-hole total of 11-under 273, finishing seven strokes off the lead.

Little Rock sophomore guard Jaizec Lottie is one of 21 players at the Division I level selected to take part in a 2018 Global Sports Academy tour through Europe. The week-long tour, took place Aug. 10-17, will visit Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam and London.

Three members of the Trojan soccer team were named to the Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference team, while the soccer team was also picked to finish fourth in the conference standings. Due to their stellar seasons in 2017, senior forward Arola Aparicio Gili, senior defender Liesa Seifert and junior midfielder Doro Greulich earned recognition on the Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference team.

Brandon Brady, who is pursuing a master's degree in sport management at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, can't imagine a better future than to help young student-athletes pursue their dreams. Brady completed his last year as a member of the Trojan men's basketball team in 2018 and plans to make a career of helping high school and college student-athletes, the same way his father and coaches did for him.

Little Rock soccer senior Fali Garuba was awarded the second annual Kevin A. Crass Heart of a Trojan award at the Trojans' Senior Honors Luncheon on Tuesday, May 1.

Sabrina Bonanno, a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and four-year veteran of the Trojans Women's Golf Team, has been playing golf for as long as she can remember. Bonanno began playing golf with her father at the age of 3. One month later and the toddler/rising golf star already had her first golf coach. However, Bonanno said she didn't get "serious" about golf until she was 6 or 7 and began playing in tournaments. "Most kids got to play with their friends, but I got to play at the golf course," Bonanno said. "During my junior year at Ridgewood Community High School in Norridge, Illinois, I started looking at schools to play golf, and I really wanted to go south. I liked Little Rock from the moment I stepped on campus and met my coach."

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojan Pep Band travelled to Tallahassee, Florida with the women's basketball team for the NCAA tournament, helping the Trojans to feel at home.

Little Rock women's basketball team earned a No. 14 seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament and ended their season against the number three seed, Florida State, on Saturday, March 17, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Members of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock swimming and diving team recently broke nine school records while competing in the Missouri Valley Conference Championship Feb. 14-17 at the University of Iowa.

A University of Arkansas at Little Rock student athlete was named the Sun Belt Conference's Freshman of the Week and is the first Trojan in program history to earn the weekly conference honor.

Fresh off the second round of tournament play in the NCAA, members of the UALR Trojan women's basketball team recently completed a number of team records on the year and returned to a large homecoming crowd gathered in their honor.

The Trojans recently completed a perfect home schedule and stretched their overall winning streak to 20 matches.
