Bowen grad plans to utilize legal skills for JAG career
A University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law graduate has plans to put his legal skills to use in a career as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer. Jason Cline, of North Little Rock, graduated this May from Bowen. Cline said he's a completely different person since he began law school during Bowen's part-time program in 2015.

UA Little Rock grad dreams of helping children in the juvenile justice system
A University of Arkansas at Little Rock graduate who celebrated her 53rd birthday on the day of commencement is looking forward to a future of helping children in the juvenile justice system. Joni "Marie" Hollowell of Little Rock graduated May 16 with a master's degree in criminal justice. She moved to Little Rock in 2013 from Canton, Georgia, to work as a senior compliance auditor at Stephens, Inc. After completing an associate degree more than 20 years earlier, she decided to complete her college education at UA Little Rock.

Graduating UA Little Rock employee lands master's degree and dream job
In 2011, Colleen Godley, of Cabot, faced the devastating loss of her job when the Conestoga Wood Specialities warehouse in Little Rock closed down. This May, Godley graduated with a Master of Science degree in business information systems from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. It's something that still amazes her since she never thought she would go to college in the first place.

Bowen students earn Dean's Certificate of Distinguished Public Service
UA Little Rock announces William H. Bowen School of Law students who have earned the Dean's Certificate of Distinguished Public Serivce for the 2019-2020 school year. A student who completes 300 hours of public service during a 12-month period in which the student is in good standing at UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law will be awarded a Dean's Certificate of Service. The goal of the program is to make students more aware of community service opportunities and encourage students to make service a part of their professional lives.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock students competed in the John Cauble One Act Play Reading Series, performing a play called, "Prisoners," at Abilene Texas Convention Center on Feb. 24. The Kerry Kennedy Aspiring Playwright Foundation Fund paid for the students' travel to the festival.
