Madison Pitts attends American Bar Association fall conference

2017 Oct 24

Madison Pitts of Lollie, AR, was one of two University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law students selected to attend the 25th anniversary of the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Fall Conference.

Pitts joined lawyers and other law students Oct. 18-21 in Baltimore, Maryland, where they participated in cutting-edge continuing legal education programming.

One session provided attendees with insider perspectives on how the federal government addresses key issues including public lands, climate change, and conservation.

Both students received full scholarships from the American Bar Association to attend the conference.

"We are both very excited about many of the lectures we will be attending, including a session on food law and several regarding environmental law under the Trump administration," Coomer said.

Both students will give a presentation about the conference during an upcoming meeting of the Environmental Law Society at Bowen.
