Kennedy Quarders joins Campus Garden Alliance

Kennedy Quarders is a member of the new UA Little Rock Campus Garden Alliance.

The organization serves students, faculty, and community members interested in learning about sustainable urban gardening. Its members strive for community outreach by growing a variety of crops that are donated to the Trojan Food Pantry.

The alliance hosts a range of hands-on garden-related activities, including educational opportunities about Arkansas native plants and tips on how to:

• Sow seeds
• Transplant seedlings
• Maintain compost
• Till a garden bed
• Harvest vegetables
• Irrigate

During spring 2017, officers include:

• President: Amber Mitchell
• Vice President: Jessica Fuller
• Secretary: Kaitlin Walters
• Treasurer: Jason Simmons

Faculty members include Dr. Michael DeAngelis and mentor Dr. Stephen Grace.
