Kaitlyn Pratt returns to cheering homecoming crowd after a winning season

2015 Mar 26

About a hundred fans gathered on March 24 to welcome back Kaitlyn Pratt, a sophomore member of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojan women's basketball team, following team play in the second round of the women's NCAA tournament.

Pratt, a graduate of McDonogh 35 College Preparatory High School, is originally from New Orleans, La..

She and her teammates helped set a number of team records on the year, breaking the mark for conference wins with 18 and overall wins with 29.

The team's five losses represent the fewest in school history. The team was led by Coach Joe Foley, who earned his 700th career victory against Texas A&M in the NCAA First Round.

Carrying several signs that conveyed heartfelt messages of pride and Trojan spirit, fans gathered outside the Jack Stephens Center to shout their praise for the team members after their return to home court at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock.

The Trojans had battled defiantly against No. 3 seed Arizona State in the second round of the NCAA, only to succumb with a 57-54 loss at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz.

The women led by as many as 16 points during the game and held a 50-44 lead with less than three minutes to play, but Arizona State closed the gap in a home court upset over UALR.
